Privacy Policy Woongjin Energy Co. Ltd.(hereinafter, the “Company”) values its customers’ personal information and complies with the laws on “Information Network Promotion and Information Security.” The Company discloses its privacy policy on its website(www.woongjinenergy.com). This policy informs you of how the customers’ personal information is used, and what measures are being taken to protect the personal information. The Company will notify on the website(www.woongjinenergy.com) any amendments to the privacy policy. This Policy takes effect from [November]. [1]. 2010. 1. Collection Items (1) To enable registration as a member, smooth customer consultation, and other service provision, the Company will collect the following items of personal information. - Compulsory items: member ID, PASSWORD, name, address, home phone number, cellphone number, e-mail address - Optional items: job, hobbies, marital status, wedding anniversary date, dual income status, actual date of birth, dwelling status (2) The following information may automatically be created and collected when using or processing the service. - ID Address, cookies, service access record, access logs 2. Collection methods The Company will collect personal information through the following channels. - membership registration on the website, event entrance, service use, membership information modification 3. Consent on personal information collection Members must be from 14 years of age upward. If you click the “I agree.” button under the “Terms and Conditions” and the “Privacy Policy”, it will be regarded that you have agreed on collection of your personal information by the Company. 4. Purpose of collecting and using personal information The Company will use any of its members’ original or modified personal information for the following purposes. - Member management To use the personal identification system, as well as preventing unauthorized use of the service exclusively for members and preventing piracy of personal information. It will make it compulsory to leave a registration message and will check the age of the prospective members. It will also process any complaints or civil petitions, as well as delivering announcements. - Statistical application To check how often each member accesses the website and to provide service in accordance with the statistics and statistical characteristics of the patterns in which the members use the service on the website. 5. Preservation and utilization periods for the members’ personal information Once collected and used for its purpose, members’ personal information will be immediately destroyed as a rule. The information will then be archived for certain periods of time(See “Archive and utilization times” for more details.) and destroyed, in accordance with the internal policies and other related regulations. ° Unless the law directs otherwise, the above information will not be used for purposes other than being archived. - Destruction method ° Any personal information printed on paper shall either be shredded or burned. ° Electronically saved personal information will be deleted using a technical method that completely blocks its restoration. 7. Users’ or their legal representatives’ rights and how to exercise them (1) Every user and his/her legal representatives may at any time access or modify his/her own or his/her representative’s personal information, and may request withdrawal from the website. (2) To access or modify the personal information, click the “Change the personal information.”(or “Modify the member information.”) button. To withdraw from the website(or to cease the agreement with the terms and conditions of the website), click the “Withdraw your membership.” button. Then, after the personal identification process, you may access, change the information or withdraw from the website. (3) If you have any requests, you may call or e-mail the personal information management officer and the officer will check and take appropriate action. (4) If a user requests a correction of his/her personal information, the Company will not use it or supply it to a third party until completion of the correction. If the false information has already been supplied to any third party, the Company will immediately inform the third party of the correction. (5) The Company processes any information deleted or withdrawn at the request of the users or their legal representatives in accordance with the provisions in “5. Possession and utilization periods for personal information”. The Company blocks the access or utilization of this information for any other purposes. 8. Installing, operating and blocking automatic collection programs for personal information (1) The Company uses the “Cookie”, which saves and brings the user information, to provide the users with customized service. (2) The “Cookie” enables a small amount of information to be transmitted to the user’s computer by the server(HTTP) used in operating the website system. It may also be saved in the hard disk inside the user’s computer. (3) The Company uses for the following purpose. - Purpose To provide the user with a customized service by analyzing the access frequency and duration of the members and non-members of the website, recognizing the user’s tastes and interests, and counting his/her frequency in participating in each event. (4) Installing/operating or blocking the “Cookie” programs - Every user has a choice whether to install the program. Hence, you can allow all the “Cookie” programs by selecting the option from the web browser, go through a verification process each time a “Cookie” program is installed, or block all the “Cookie” programs. However, if you block the “Cookie” programs, you may not access services that require a log-in process. - How to install the “Cookie” programs(In the case of Internet Explorer): “Tools”(at the top of the web browser) > “Internet Options” > “Personal Information” 9. Technical/operational protection measures of personal information The Company takes the following technical/operational protection measures to prevent loss, theft, leakage, falsification of or damage to the users’ personal information. - Encrypting the PASSWORDs The PASSWORDs of all member IDs are encrypted before they are saved or managed. This means that only the member himself/herself knows his/her PASSWORD, and the personal information can only be accessed or changed by the user that knows his/her PASSWORD. - Countermeasures to hacking and viruses The Company puts its utmost effort to prevent the members’ personal information from being leaked or damaged through hacking or by computer viruses. In preparation for the unlikely event of such damage, the Company frequently stores the information as backups, uses the latest vaccine programs to prevent the information from being leaked or damaged, and uses encrypted communication to enable safe transmission of personal information on the network. - Minimizing the number of staff members in charge, and frequent training The Company only allows the personal information management officer to handle the members’ personal information. The company also provides separate passwords needed to handle the information, which is also renewed on a regular basis. The Company implements frequent training for the officer, and always emphasizes the importance of strict observance of the Privacy Policy. - Operating an exclusive department for protection of personal information The Company runs an exclusive department for protection of personal information to check if the Privacy Policy is being observed. In the event that any problem is discovered, the Company does its best to rectify the problem or errors immediately. The Company, however, is not responsible for any problems occurred from leakage of the personal information due to the user’s own negligence or the problems on the internet server. 10.
